About the Event
Our team is working each and every day to make a positive impact by teaching individuals strategies on how to silence the inner voice.
Lu Lasson will be discussing IFS and the way it can change our relationship with parts of us that often show up as internal critics when we want to try something new. Most of the session will be devoted to a guided meditation designed to do this, with time after for private journaling/drawing and then room for sharing.
Description:
In this workshop you will learn: What’s trauma? How “symptoms”, “negative voices” or “character flaws” help us survive. What’s the survival function of the critical voice in one’s mind? What are parts in our minds? This workshop will help participants get to a deeper and ultimately much more helpful understanding of that part (what IFS calls a “protector”) and begin to engage with it in a different manner. This workshop will be engaging, hands on, with exercises and breakrooms to share your unique experiences in a safe and validating environment.
In this workshop you’ll learn:
- What is trauma and it cen impact your ability to thrive in life?
- What are negative voices and why they are unconcious normal survival strategies?
- How to heal and turn down your inner critic voice
- How to empower yourself to move in life from survival to thriving
