We bring awareness on trauma, mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health.
This photo is from one of our community gatherings where we offered a sound bath to our community. This intimate experience was geared toward healing and aligning the chakras that may have been impacted by stress, trauma, anxiety, and other experiences and emotions that tend to dysregulate the nervous system.
This photo was taken from a workshop that we offered to our community that focused on the body and the mind. We facilitated a workshop with the goal that everyone who attended would leave with having more of an awareness, and understanding of how their biology can have an affect on their mental health.
This photo was taken during a women’s march. Giselle Bonilla (co-founder) is holding the sign.

Time Of Butterflies creates a supportive community that provides a healing space for our women.
We counter the experience of trauma with a sensitive and competent multidisciplinary response. We focus on community building, by providing a space for women to come together. We believe that the best healing happens within a community, and our goal is to provide resources, workshops and community gatherings to help improve the quality of life of our women who have been affected by trauma.
Our story began when our founders, Giselle Bonilla and Kat Bonilla discovered firsthand the lack of support and resources available for women who have experienced abuse in Boston, MA. They discovered the power of healing within a community, through the exchange of stories and community support. A path for healing was created for themselves and other women.
Inspired by the story of the Mirabal sisters, who worked with many communities in Kiskeya (Dominican Republic) to stand up to their oppressor, they named Time of Butterflies after their story and what it represented. Time of Butterflies represents healing through the power of community.
